The Kapiti Coast is home to many people who love the sound of jazz, and most of them will be fans of New Zealand's premier jazzman, Rodger Fox. Mulled Wine Concerts in Paekakariki are kicking off their 2018 season with a hot summer's Saturday night of jazz, swing, Latin - not forgetting some blues on the side! - featuring Rodger with his Jazz Ensemble and special guest singer, Erna Ferry. A good time will be had by all!

Rodger Fox is New Zealand's foremost jazz trombonist, big band leader, jazz educator, arranger and producer. He has performed in concert with some of the biggest names in the business, from the jazz and entertainment world and has promoted live concerts in the Global Festival arena, Montreux Jazz Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Manly Jazz Festival, Wichita Jazz Festival. He has played concerts in London, Singapore, Australia, Poland and the USA. In 2003 he was made an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for services to music and in 2005 Massey University awarded him an Honorary Doctorate of Music. Astonishingly, over the past four decades, the his various ensembles have released over three dozen full-length albums.

Rodger is no stranger to Mulled Wine Concerts and returns to the Memorial Hall on Paekakariki's glorious sea-front on Saturday 27 January 2018 in fine form, intending to give his audience a night to remember!  Make up a table (discount available if ten tickets are bought at a time) and enjoy a very special, fun time. Beer, wine and soft drinks available (no BYO) and delicious platters of bread and cheese to sustain the spirits for a night of jazz.
