"I LOVE Mulled Wine Concerts as they are so intimate.
See you soon
With gratitude, Helen"

We start the new season with the wonderful Nikau Harp Trio.

Named after the magnificent carved palm on Helen's harp with its golden huia on the soundboard, Nikau brings to life the glittering magical world of harp with strings. Music composed for harp, violin and cello is extraordinary and beautiful - the plucked harp strings are vibrant and brilliant, whilst the bowed violin and cello strings are sustained and sonorous.

Nikau Harp Trio

Nikau Harp Trio brings to life the glittering magical world of harp and strings. In mesmerizing performances, the trio journeys from baroque, fantasy and romance to the pulsating latin rhythms of the tango.

Principal Harp in the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Helen Webby is one of New Zealand’s most accomplished harpists. Her solo CD Pluck was nominated for “Best Classical CD” in the NZ Music Awards.

Violinist Cathy Irons’ mastery of her instrument was described as “jaw-dropping” by The Guardian newspaper. Cathy records regularly with international artists.

Paul Mitchell studied cello at The University of Auckland under Coral Bognuda, later winning an Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music Scholarship. Three years of advanced study at the Royal College of Music followed, with Professors Christopher Bunting , William Pleeth and the Chilingirian String Quartet.
